This is all about me and everything I like.Since I'm half Pakistani, Bollywood movies have been what I've been watching since I was a child and that is why I like it so much. It all started with the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai when I was 5 and since then I've been hooked. Bollywood is the Indian version of Hollywood. In more recent years, Bollywood has also begun influencing North American cinema. The movie Slumdog Millionaire has helped Bollywood get one step closer to be better known in the west especially in Hollywood. These movies are totally awesome. Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire was also directly inspired by Bollywood films, and is considered to be a "homage to Hindi commercial cinema". Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and exceeds people's expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials. It also won five Critics' Choice Awards, four Golden Globes, and seven BAFTA Awards, including Best Film. On 22 February 2009, the film won eight out of ten Academy Awards it was nominated for, including Best Picture and Best Director, as well as six other Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song. The Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman who planned the score won the 2009 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and won two out of the three nominations for the Academy Awards, including one for Best Original Score and one for Best Original Song, the song "Jai Ho" won the award and was shared with lyricist Gulzar.
